When David met Myhr

(mum's comments in brackets).

I first saw Myhr in the lift and he said, "hi I'm Jamie" and I was too scared to say anything.

Then I saw him again when mummy was selling books. I found a table with little bowls of brown and white sugar cubes and I was eating them when Myhr crept up on me and made me jump when he tapped me on the shoulder and I ran off.

When we were at the auction he was walking about and I kept trying to trip him up and he kept meowing every time that he saw me.

He came with us when we went to the caves and when we were going I showed him my watch that my brother John has got now for when he goes fishing. Before we went to the caves Myhr went outside of the hotel and went for a walk on his own and everyone wondered where he had gone. Then when we went to the caves Gwen thought he was at the front of the people, but mummy said he wasn't and Gwen ran outside to find him and he was just coming. We all thought he had got lost.

Mummy asked Myhr how old he was and he told her he was eleven and she said that he would have to find himself a mate so that he could have some kittens to follow in his footsteps. He said, 'No, no, no.' I don't know why 'cos I think kittens are sweet.

In the caves I held the torch so that every one could see everything.

Myhr asked me asked how old I was and I said I was five and he told me that he was five too but he was only joking.

Then later he was right at the front of the seats and I ran through the middle and tapped him on the shoulder when he was bent down and I said to him I bet your eyes are hurting from wearing that mask all day.

And he said that they were.

And on Sunday he crept up on me at breakfast and said meow in my ear.

That night at the buffet I was running and skidding on the dance floor and he grabbed me and threw me into the air until I was upside down, and my tee shirt fell down and everyone could see my tummy and I screamed.

When I went back to school no one would believe me, and mummy said she would give me a photograph of him to take to school but she never did. (Oops - thought I had).

I can't wait to go to the caves again.

(When I told David that Myhr would be reading this he said to tell him;)

"I wasn't really scared when you crept up on me I was only pretending… (Yeah right)

I like your cat mask and I like your name Myhr when you are a cat and I liked it when you meowed at me.

And I want to see you again some time.

Meow.

'What goes meeee - oooow?'

Myhr on a motorbike."
