It seems strange writing about the first time I met Jamie. I attended Great Expectations in Austin, Texas. They had this unusual MC who could have been Vincent's brother or cousin. His name was MYHR. He was annimated, funny and totally at home with all of the B&B fans. He wasn't there all the time but he was really great while he was there.

There was a gentleman who appeared to be a professional photographer who had a uncanny resemblence to Steven Spielberg. He even wore a baseball cap. I thought it unfortunate that he did not get a picture of Myhr. I learned his name was Jamie Murray and he worked at a TV station in the area. He and Myhr never seemed to cross paths.

During the art auction I purchased a Barbara Gipson pencil study entitled The Three Faces of Elliot. It was something I really wanted and so did Edward Albert. I gave it to him after I paid for it. No questions asked or promises required. Jamie came up to me and told me it was so generous for me to just give to Edward. We had a lemonade in the courtyard and he asked me if I was planning to attend the next B&B convention Tunnel Con III. He said he would try to see me there.

A year passed and I went to TCIII:A Family Reunion. I always try to arrive at least one day early to get acclimated and over my jet lag. This year I was to get my "payment" from Edward in the form of a private dinner that would include his fan club Paulette Edwards and her husband. Myhr came about halfway through the dinner with Jamie's 35mm camera and voice to take pictures. Dummy, naive me had not had a clue that Jamie and Myhr were the same being! We all laughed!

Since that day Jamie and I have at least once a convention had a meal together. He also started bringing art for the art shows. Most are a combination of colored pencil and airbrush. I am fortunate to own about 7 originals. There is a wide variety of subject matter--B&B, fairies, Star Trek, vampires etc. He is dedicated to B&B he even missed the opening of his first one man show because he had already commited to a con. I am sadden because I will not be in NYC this summer to help him setup his work. I was given a peek at his new works in years past. It is OK I'll be with you in spirit like Kristopher.
