My First Encounter with Jamie

I went to my first ever Convention "Masquerades" in Nottingham, England last September (2000) and I had a simply great time, everyone was so friendly.

My very first encounter with Jamie was at Dinner on Friday night when I was stood next to this very respectable looking gentlemen at the Carvery, there was only the two of us and we had been waiting quite a good few minutes for the Chef to come back and I said something like, "I wonder where the heck he has got to." This man just smiled slightly and politely said something like I expect he will be here shortly,

I thought this one probably thinks I could do with a bit of patience (not my strong point)

It wasn't until next day at the Dealer's Table when I was buying some postcards etc.of his beautiful paintings that I realised who he was. I think his paintings are really lovely.

I got quite a shock when I saw him as Myhr, I truly did not think it was the same person as his personality seemed so different and while appreciating his obvious talent as Myhr, he is really very good and the makeup is quite something, I think I prefer him best as Jamie,

I thought he was really fascinating when he gave the talk about himself and his work etc.

He is obviously a very talented man and I would imagine very good at what he does.
