My first encounter with Myhr, in fact wasn't in Nottingham* but on a website, and it left me rather puzzled. I was downloading a piece of artwork that seemed to be a V&C portrait...except that it wasn't Vincent who held Catherine in a possessive embrace, but an unknown and mischievous looking cat-man. And on the same webpage was another painting showing the same strange creature with Vincent, and called "Twins at birth"! I had only just begun to surf the fandom, I wasn't on any list yet, and it took me some time to figure it all out!

But when I arrived in Nottingham, I had finally learned who Jamie-Myhr was (were?), and knew what to expect.

Or at least I thought so...

I didn't get to speak much with Jamie Murray. I admired his artwork and listened to his Q&A session, his American accent much easier to understand for my foreign ear than many of the various English accents I was confronted with there...

That was on Saturday, and on Sunday morning, as we were about to leave for the visit of the Caves, Myhr appeared. He was familiar to most people, but to the "Con virgin" I was he looked... fascinating. Not only because his make-up is a work of art, but mostly because when you look at him, it's almost totally impossible to see Jamie. They're completely different persons. I did my best not to stare, but I must admit I didn't always succeed...

Marina introduced me to him, and Angelique took a picture of us together...and he kindly accepted to do it another time in the evening because my (***) camera had chosen that particular time to go on strike!

I quite liked that moment... he has the most delightful way of purring into your ear...

Be well
